The Holy Qur’an redresses the negative image ‎associated with women past and present, with ‎regard to the curse of Original Sin, which places the blame on Eve for tempting ‎her husband, Adam. However, the Qur’an clearly ‎declared that both Adam and Eve wilfully ate from the ‎tree and that neither of ‎them was responsible for the other’s disobedience. Hence, women were acquitted, for the ‎first time, of the so-called Original Sin. Rather, it is ‎declared that Eve, though disobedient, did not tempt her husband ‎to disobey divine command.‎
